Most Expensive Books Available
For giggles, I periodically check out different sites to look for the most expensive books available. So if you’ve got a couple of mill, or a few hundred thousand bucks laying around, here are your options.
First, for $1.5 million on eBay, you can pick up this prayer book from 1706 from the collection of Sultan Hussain Safavi. In stark contrast to a prayer book, just three entries down is a complete set of Playboy magazines.
Then, if you pop over to AbeBooks, you can drop $3.5 million for something called A Monograph of the Meropidae, or Family of the Bee-Eaters.
Who says there’s no money in book selling?
