Bestselling author and legal juggernaut John Grisham now has official presences on Facebook and MySpace. Visit either site to join in the Grisham community and get exclusive updates and news.

To celebrate the launch of these sites, Doubleday is giving away free copies of Grisham’s new book, The Associate, scheduled for release on January 27. To sign up for your chance at a freebie, go to the author’s Facebook page and post on his wall what your favorite John Grisham book is and why in 100 words or less. Your post must begin with “My Favorite John Grisham Book is.” You can only enter once and must be from either the United States or Canada. The competition closes on January 19, 2009. Winners will be chosen at random.

If miss out on the freebies, but want to order a signed copy of The Associate, contact my old stomping grounds, Square Books. I got an email from the gang saying they are now accepting orders for signed copies, limit of four per person.
