Christenberry Exhibit
Incredibly hip and tapped into everything cool, Lauren Cerand rounds up all the cool events for Maud Newton’s great blog. Cerand points out that one of my favorite photographers, William Christenberry, is appearing at Aperture Gallery tonight at 6:30. The event is free and, for our New York readers, highly, highly recommended. “William Christenberry, known worldwide as a pioneer in the field of color photography and a master of multiple visual media, will discuss his photographs, drawings, sculptures, and paintings and his poetic documentation of the landscape of the American South. This event coincides with the release of an Aperture monograph and upcoming exhibitions at Aperture Gallery and the Smithsonian American Art Museum.”
If I didn’t have prior obligations, this is an event worth a last minute flight. If you’re in the neighborhood, be sure to swing by there and see what the man has to say.
And be sure to regularly check out Cerand’s weekly roundup of great events on Maud’s blog.
