Stephen King Haunts Your Phone

Gizmodo (and others) picked up reports of a special mobile tie-in with Scribner and horror god Stephen King. Check out the website for Cell the Book and join the Club. On January 24th, you’ll get a voice message from King himself in addition to weekly messages featuring trivia, sweepstakes, polls, and other content. There will also be premium items such as wallpapers and Stephen King talk-tones. Probably the biggest enticement to look under your cellphone bed is a podcast where King reads a monologue.

And of course, when it’s all said and done, your phone will be possessed by evil spirits and will eat your ear off while you sit on hold with tech support.
