5 Million Da Vincis

Following up on earlier reports of a release date for The Da Vinci Code paperback, Publishers Weekly reported yesterday that Anchor Books confirmed a total print run of 5 million copies.

I think the always informative and entertaining Bookninja had the most humorous comment on this new yesterday when they wrote “one can only wonder whether this will bite them in the ass. Most people I know either refuse to read the book on grounds of artistic snobbery (me) or have borrowed a hard-cover copy that’s been passed around more times than that girl in high school who always wore the Iron Maiden shirt.”
