Artie Lange is Too Fat to Fish

I’ve had a super-busy handful of days recently. But I did manage to read Too Fat to Fish by Artie Lange and Anthony Bozza. Now, in the interest of full disclosure, Bozza has become a friend over the time since I first interviewed him for Slushpile.net. So take these comments with a grain of salt if you’re so inclined.

But I found this book to be a quick read and enjoyable. I don’t listen to Howard Stern and I never really watched MadTV so I didn’t know anything about Lange. But Too Fat to Fish was fun.

In some instances, it didn’t go into quite as much depth as I would have liked in exploring Lange’s addictions and troubles, but the scenes where he’s made up to look like a pig and he’s driving down the highway after scoring cocaine are hilarious. In a morbid way.

Too Fat to Fish is currently #13 overall in Amazon sales rank (and we know how sketchy that can be) and #1 in the memoirs, entertainment, and biographies categories. It will no doubt be highly ranked on next week’s New York Times bestseller list.
