Now Here’s a Deal I Would Approve!

All too often, the news about recent publishing deals leaves me depressed and baffled. Books about knitting, and still more books about addiction recovery, and books about cleaning out your refrigerator, and the history of ranch dressing, and knitting for cats, and all this other stuff. I know there is an audience for these things, I just don’t get it.

But here is a deal that makes sense to me. Sign me up, because I’ll be the first in line to buy this book. Publishers Marketplace reports that Steve Lowe and Alan McArthur sold a book entitled Is It Just Me or Is Everything Shit? to Warner. The book is described as “an encyclopedia attack on modern culture so humorously bitter that it actually becomes uplifting.”
