Congratulations to the Mavericks

On Saturday night, Jerry Stackhouse scored 13 of the Dallas Mavericks‘ 19 fourth quarter points in a victory over the Phoenix Suns. Down by as many as 18 points, the Mavericks fought back to win the game and close out the best-of-seven playoff series. The triumph sends Dallas to the NBA Finals for the first time in team history.

You might recall my interview with Mark Cuban where he provided lots of great insight into marketing and building a successful brand. After the victory, Cuban told reporters, “For the first time in my life, I’m speechless.”

Congratulations to Mark and everyone at the Mavericks organization. I’ve been a longtime fan of Shaquille O’Neal, but Mark’s generosity, accessibility, and kick-ass attitude really won me over. So best of luck to the Mavs in the Finals!
